Eaton Corporation Foundry Rover Weekend 3rd Shift in Amarillo, Texas

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Foundry Rover Weekend 3rd Shift. In this position, you will perform functions and duties related to maintaining required Preventive Maintenance (PM) on melt equipment and other areas of the foundry or factory as required.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.71 - $27.14 per hour. The core hours are 5:30pm to 6:00am.

What you’ll do:

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and repair to melt and mold equipment per schedule, as well as other areas of the facility as required

• Duties related to the setup, operation and troubleshooting of mold machines, core machines, grinders, shakeout and furnace/pour deck operation,

• Operate equipment such as jackhammer, mag crane, monorail, pour equipment, forklift, and various hand tools.

• Ensure that equipment is maintained at appropriate levels of cleanliness, and utility according to schedules defined.

• Recognize, document, and notify supervision of mechanical malfunctions and operating irregularities within the melt, mold, core, and grinding departments.

• Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions in melt, mold, core, and grinding departments.

• Follow predetermined production schedules to satisfy customers.

• Use production documentation to track equipment downtime, setup, and production events.

• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of

Amarillo, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt

from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience setting up and operating mold equipment (DISA), core equipment (Shalco), shakeout

line (Pangborn, Wheelabrator, and shakeout tables), and grinding equipment (face and snag

grinder, autogrinder).

• Experience with melt department functions such as operating a monorail or magnetic crane,

charging furnaces, or managing Junker auto-pouring system

Skills:

• Follow all safety regulations associated

• Qualified to wear a respirator

• Understand and utilize the lockout/tagout procedures

• Work at varied heights using fall protection as required

• Work in and understand confined spaces

• Ability to use a Powered Industrial Truck, including forklift and frontend loader certified

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to

unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)

• Ability to communicate effectively and work with all employees throughout plant, and particularly

to leadership about concerns and tasks to ensure safety of all employees working in and around

equipment

• Promote a team environment

• Ability to perform basic computer functions: use SAP, eSafety, MESH Prism
