Job Summary

  • Lead the technical excellence for Thailand and drive the standardization of engineering best practices.

  • Become the in-country leader for engineering operations, ensuring our target of becoming a true leader in self-performed technical services is delivered as effectively as possible across our client-managed portfolio in Thailand.

  • Provides an internal multi-skilled consultancy service to the site operations team to match customer requirements.

  • Champion technical solutions & innovations through a partnership with a wider CBRE network.

  • Mentor and grow the engineering standard of technical staff inherent to the account, ensuring knowledge share across the business within Thailand.

  • Promote safe methods of working ensuring CBRE rules and procedures are implemented correctly.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Report to the Country Business Unit Leader of GWS Local Thailand, with a dotted line reporting to the Technical Director for GWS Local APAC.

  • Provide support to the Country Business Unit Leader and AGMs, in providing tactical and operational delivery reports and direction across the countries as required.

  • Conduct site technical due diligence/surveys as technical expert as and when required, support the effective management of the technical Operations, Repairs, and Maintenance (OMR) portion of the building(s) budget(s), providing budget variance reports when required and assisting with annual reconciliations.

  • Work directly with our operations teams across Thailand, supporting and leading on maintenance and engineering management, and working with APAC and Thailand leadership teams on developing, deploying, and managing our strategy for maximizing and growing our technical services.

  • Develop program plans, schedules, milestones, and monitor technical progress against performance objectives and budget, and assist in creating pathways for self-delivery service of technical works.

  • Provide oversight, direction, and advice on engineering management as directed, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems maintenance, asset management, vendor management, critical environment management, budget preparation, safety documentation, and communication.

  • Support the management of technical compliance within country legislation in terms of statutory maintenance, health, safety, environmental management, asset management, innovation, and technology.

  • Assist in developing all technical training requirements and programs including competency assessments, critical services training, and scenario training exercises. Provide a close follow-up on the deployment/implementation of all technical training.

  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

  • Mobile Technical Services (MTS) @ Mobile Team:

  • Responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the operation of MTS within the assigned market.

  • Ensure smooth execution of the service delivery of MTS and operational performance.

  • Directly manages profit and loss (P&L) of MTS:-

  • Review all costs to ensure that funding is available before an activity is undertaken.

  • Works to reduce cost at all opportunity.

  • Develops savings plans with sourcing and the account teams.

  • Clearly articulates to the client where additional funding is required.

Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Minimum of ten years of recent and relevant programmatic and technical support experience.

  • Experience working in the facilities/maintenance & repair industry and the operation of building M&E components including but not limited to electrical distribution systems, industrial/commercial heating & cooling, refrigeration, utility equipment, and automation controls systems.

  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and/or other equivalent program management tools. Proficiency in CAD software will be an added advantage.

  • Possess a fundamental knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

  • Thai language ability at native level fluency and English language ability at working level proficiency

  • Strong people manager able to successfully build relationships across a diverse regional portfolio

  • Enthusiastic and confident professional with excellent people, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Evidence of successfully leading from the front in a highly commercial and competitive environment.

  • Highly customer-focused and understanding of the value of successful client outcomes

  • Ability to be flexible to meet the dynamic needs of the business

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering Studies preferable with a Bachelor of degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services related subject
