HPC Industrial Services, in Lafayette, Louisiana is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our Upstream Oil & Gas Services business line. The Health and Safety Manager role is one that involves collaboration and engagement in day-to-day operational activities with HPC Industrial personnel and client representatives to promote operational and safety excellence. The role involves daily participation in the HPC Industrial health and safety management system, supporting operational activities through a health and safety lens, collaborating with teams to conduct health and safety meetings, audits, and inspections, conducting incident analysis, providing leading/lagging event trend analysis, and participating in developing continuous improvement plans.

The Health and Safety Manager assists with ensuring company compliance with state and federal safety policies and regulations and ensuring that work on client sites is in compliance with company and client safety requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is integrated into organizational priorities by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

• Conduct health and safety inspections, audits, and interventions, observe safety conditions and assist in managing health and safety data (internal computer-based programs);

• Assist operational management by ensuring employee safety training program are up to date and coordination of required training;

• Assist operational teams with creation of JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and identification of appropriate and applicable adjustments to procedures;

• Provide leadership and guidance on Company specific processes and expectations;

• Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;

• Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance;

• Establish relationships with client safety department;

• Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments;

• Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;

• Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices; Recommends corrective actions;

• Performs other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for HPC ?

• Associate degree in occupational health and safety or a closely related field preferred;

• 5+ years of progressive responsibly and related OHS experience in an oil and gas setting;

• OSHA 30 and Safety Management certifications a plus;

• Strong time management skills;

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Comfort with digital health and safety management tools and computer literacy;

• Knowledge of the following is preferred: First Aid, Confined Space, Hazwoper;

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations;

• Ability to travel >25%
