Are you looking for a rewarding career within Landscaping and Irrigation? If so, you may be the perfect fit for the Irrigation Landscaper Technician at Walmart!

The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for the installing, maintaining, and repairing of irrigation systems used in the landscaping setting on the Home Office Campus. You will be ensuring the continuous development of irrigation practices and the optimum use of equipment and addressing logistical and technical problems that may arise during the day and report any irregularities to management.

You'll make an impact by...

• Caring out calibration tests (sprinklers, injectors, operating pressures, and pumps) within our closed loop system to detect anomalies and make the necessary follow-up or repair.

• Performing tasks such as adjusting sprinkler heads, programming irrigation controllers, and conducting routine inspections to optimize water usage and prevent waste.

• Being responsible for daily repair & maintenance of irrigation and related equipment.

• Responding to alerts/work orders from our WeatherTrac and ticketing systems.

• Operating and maintaining repairs on existing irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings.

• Working with Supervisors to maintain a high quality of watering throughout the growing season and timely fertilization applications.

• Responding promptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures or water leaks.

• Assisting with campus mulching efforts during the off season.

• Assisting with snow/ice removal during the off season.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

• You have 1-3 years experience of irrigation installation/maintenance

• You have a strong attention to detail

• You are self-motivated and can work independently

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00-$40.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
