Robert Half Tax Accountant: II (Intermediate) in Columbus, Ohio

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Tax Accountant in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credits sector of a financial services company, based in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves assisting the team in reviewing partnership tax returns related to investments and providing training to handle various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze complex partnership tax returns and related reports.

• Coordinate communication and tracking of tax returns under review.

• Assist in reviewing GAAP audited financial statements and spreading financial information on investments.

• Utilize your skills in Microsoft Excel and Word to manage and organize data.

• Handle ad hoc requests, regular deliverables, and meet deadlines effectively.

• Use your tax accounting and capital management skills to enhance the financial operations of the team.

• Implement your proficiency in tax compliance processes and EO/IR systems.

• Use your interpersonal and administrative skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements • Must hold a Senior Accountant role or similar in the past

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office Suites

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks and reviews as needed

• Proficient in tax accounting, capital management, and GAAP accounting

• Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and partnership tax returns

• Knowledge of tax compliance processes

• Ability to produce audited financial statements

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems

• Strong administrative skills and ability to manage multiple accounting functions

• Must have a CPA certification or relevant qualification

• Experience in handling investments

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to prepare and deliver clear and concise deliverables

• Strong training skills, able to mentor and guide junior staff members
