About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Laundry Team Leader to join the Laundry team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• To be responsible for the supervision of Laundry Attendants in the sorting of dirty linen to ensure that all the dirty rooms linen is put in the trolleys correctly and the F&B linen and chefs whites are counted and recorded correctly.

• To be responsible for the control and checking of all linen and uniforms returned and to ensure that all quantities relate to the delivery notes.

• To ensure that any variances on delivery notes from the laundry are recorded correctly.

• To control and check quality and standard of work produced by the Laundry.

• To be responsible for the quality and quantity control of all soft furnishings contracted out and to control all recorded quantity returned.

• To be responsible for the issuing of all linen to all Departments and to ensure that all issues are correctly recorded.

• To be responsible for the upkeep of all uniforms, Hotel linen and soft furnishings.

• Check all items for damage or stains and take appropriate action to rectify these issues.

• Reports any technical problems or deficiencies to the Laundry Manager or maintenance team.

• Assist in inventories and attend all departmental training as informed and scheduled by the manager.

• Assists with other responsibilities and duties in the absence of other teams’ members or other tasks assigned by the manager.

• Basic tailoring experience or sewing skills.

• To ensure your uniform is maintained in a good condition.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or general education in Business Administration preferred.

• Regional experience.

• Previous experience in 5 Star Luxury Hospitality in a supervisory role.
