Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Transformation Project Coordinator (OTO Coordinator) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

OTO's Project Coordinator will apply private sector project management experience to public sector work, helping OTO better support projects through the permitting process. This position will serve as the main point of contact with OTO's largest, most complex project sponsors, tracking their progress and helping them navigate through government processes to get projects up and running.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with other OTO coordinators and Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) staff to ensure project sponsors receive timely answers and responses from Commonwealth agencies and to shepherd priority projects through the grants and loan-making processes in a timely fashion. Help identify challenges before they arise, collaborate in creative problem-solving with our forward-thinking teams, and work on government-wide initiatives led by OTO and designed to make Commonwealth government more business-friendly.

Specific duties include: Project management, engaging with stakeholders to answer questions, tracking permitting progress, and collaborating with project sponsors. Assisting with broader OTO priorities including small diverse business procurement. Supporting the implementation of the Commonwealth's Economic Development Strategy. Marketing the Commonwealth as a great place to do business by providing high-level guidance and assistance to companies considering locating in Pennsylvania. Other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Given the always-on nature of the Governor's Office, work outside scheduled hours is expected, when needed. Telework: When operationally feasible, part-time telework may be an option up to two days per week. Days will vary based on office need. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have at least four years working in private sector project management, real estate development/finance, engineering/consulting or related fields.

Additional Requirements: You must have in-depth knowledge of requirements for construction/real estate/development project completion. You must have excellent relationship-building and communication skills. You must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work streams at once through superior organization. You must have the ability to read, write, and research business and policy trends in economic development. You must have the ability to attend meetings in-person or virtually with both internal and external stakeholders. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
