We are looking for someone with a Food science Degree and has a passion for Baking!

Title: R&D Technician

Pay:$23-$28

Shift: 7-3:30pm

Location: Irvine CA 92614

This role is not in a Laboratory. They will be working in a Kitchen.

Overview

The R&D technician will work under close supervision of an R&D Scientist. They will assist with technical aspects of R&D including bench top formulation, raw material replacement studies, competitive analysis, and collection of analytical data. This team member will work independently, or in a group, to produce laboratory samples, gather data needed, always adhering to project timelines, and balancing the workload to ensure task completion dates are met.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to R&D work streams; including bench top development of formulations, competitive analysis, ingredient screening, shelf-life studies, and other support as needed

• Weighing, Mixing, Cooking, Baking

• Organizing and Cleaning

• Maintain a clean workspace

• Adhere to all laboratory policies

• Maintain strong documentation of recipes, activities and analytical results

• Perform analytical testing, as trained

• Perform other projects and activities as needed

Requirements:

• Food Science Major, or equivalent

• Outstanding organization and time management

• Inquisitive and curious, outgoing

• Developing written skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Results focused
