Who are you? You are a caring and dedicated professional that is passionate about medical billing services. Accuracy of data, reviewing client balances, and resolving medical claims excite you. You enjoy the research that's involved in resolving discrepancies associated with eligibility and billing, because at the end of the day, client satisfaction is what matters most to you. You will possess a HSD/GED with at least one year of previous medical billing experience that includes previous work with self pay accounts receivable. This role is hybrid, with the main office location at the Lima campus and 2-3 days remote based. In this role you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously. You have the ability to obtain an Ohio Driver's License, maintain auto insurance, earn CPR/First Aid certification, and be willing to submit to background check and fingerprinting. Write your next chapter: Under the guidance of the Revenue Cycle Supervisor, you will oversee the creation, accurate and timely submission of all MACSIS, Medicaid, GOSH and third party insurance electronic/paper billing; including party statement processing. You will also oversee the collection of patient account balances and the timeliness of payment posting.

  • Ensure accuracy of data posted to the accounts receivable system, examine A/R reports, and administer write offs in accordance with agency policy/procedure
  • Review and ensure outstanding consumer balances on unapplied credit and aging reports are maintained at appropriate balances
  • Submit and resolve medical claims of moderate to high complexity
  • Utilize worklists to review account balancers in order to collect payment for medical services rendered
  • Assist in the examination of claims resolution to ensure appropriate payment on claims, resolve denials, correct claims, and appeal claims
  • Contact patients and guarantors to secure necessary billing information
  • Identify irregular trends with consumer complaints; work with other areas as appropriate to identify root causes and take appropriate steps for resolution
