As we embark on this journey, the Analytics and CMS Manager role within the Connected Consumer Engagement team is crucial. This role is crafted for a professional who is not only passionate about analytics and data-driven decision-making but also possesses hands-on experience in handling content management systems (CMS). You will play a vital role in using analytics to enhance our digital presence across content and e-commerce platforms, and directly lead the CMS to update and build new sections, ensuring our content remains dynamic and engaging.

This role plays a crucial part in achieving our D2C strategy for Diageo and its brands in Southern Europe, focusing not only on detailed analysis of the performance of our digital channels and content to advise data-driven strategies but also on leading our CMS to ensure that published content genuinely collects our consumers' passion points. The responsibility of this position ranges from optimizing content architecture to leading A/B testing efforts, ensuring that our digital presence is a vibrant and dynamic reflection of our consumers' preferences and interests, driving engagement and strengthening brand loyalty.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Direct Analytics Execution : In this role, you will be actively involved in conducting detailed analyses of our website's performance, with a particular focus on content engagement and e-commerce effectiveness. Your work will be in close collaboration with Diageo's Embedded Analytics team, applying the global measurement plans and bringing to bear Diageo's existing analytical frameworks. Additionally, you will work alongside our unique digital agency to enhance data exploitation and insights generation. Your analyses will directly inform and shape our content strategy and digital marketing initiatives, ensuring that our digital presence is both engaging and effective in meeting our business objectives.   • CMS Management : As part of your responsibilities, you will take charge of actively leading our Content Management System (CMS). This includes implementing tasks such as creating new sections, uploading content, and ensuring the site architecture supports an optimal user experience. While the management of the CMS will be conducted in partnership with our designated digital agency, we aim to build internal capabilities to enable agile changes to the website directly. This approach ensures that our digital presence remains dynamic and can quickly adapt to consumer needs and market trends. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining a magnificent and impactful digital experience for our consumers, balancing strategic oversight with the flexibility to implement swift updates and enhancements. Beyond analytical responsibilities, you will actively run our CMS ensuring the site architecture supports an optimal user experience.

  • A/B Testing and Optimization : Lead A/B testing efforts, applying your findings to both content presentation and e-commerce strategies to drive engagement and conversions.

  • Strategic Content and E-commerce Integration : Use insights gained from analytics to guide the strategic integration of content and e-commerce, enhancing the consumer journey from discovery to purchase.

  • Collaborator Partnership : Work closely with content creators, e-commerce teams, and technical staff, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize digital experiences.

About you

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical Competence : Outstanding skill in analyzing data to extract important insights, with the ability to translate these into actionable strategies.

  • Proactive CMS Management : A hands-on approach to CMS management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality digital content.

  • Effective Communication : Strong interpersonal skills to convey sophisticated analytical findings and CMS needs to non-technical partners.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Analytics and Excel : Sophisticated skills in analytics tools, including Google Analytics (GA4 preferred), and Excel for data analysis.

  • CMS Expertise : Confirmed experience in directly leading CMS platforms, with the ability to efficiently create and update website content.

  • Understanding of E-commerce Platforms : Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Vtex) and the integration of analytics to drive e-commerce growth.

  • Knowledge of Tag Management : Practical experience with Google Tag Manager, including tagging, QA, and data layers, with SQL knowledge as a plus.

Previous Experience or Candidate Background

Seeking an expert in Analytics and CMS Management to orchestrate our analytics initiatives and content management system operations. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in website analytics, performance measurement, and CMS management, with a strong background in A/B testing, SEO optimization, and content strategy development. Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and direct CMS management is required, with a preference for candidates who have led digital presence enhancements and content optimization projects.

Previous experience in similar roles or projects, particularly within an international setting, either from a client or agency perspective, is highly valued. This role demands a candidate who can effectively collaborate across teams and cultures, bringing a wealth of knowledge in data-driven decision-making and content management to our international team. Proficiency in English and additional languages will be considered an advantage, aligning with our global operational scope.
