Citigroup Private Banker Principal in Miami, Florida

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Private Banker Principal for its Miami, Florida location.

Duties: Identify ultra-high-net-worth prospects and establish contact with them to convert into clients. Develop a network of well-respected prospect referral pillars (i.e. law firms, tax experts, etc.) as referral sources to identify prospective clients within target market. Create and maintain diverse client list within target market, including across the Latin America (LATAM) region. Analyze and fully understand the broad array of products and services under the Citi umbrella to match these with the prospective clients’ needs. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients who frequently seek strategic advice regarding financial matters. Maintain full understanding of client goals and risk tolerance to ensure financial strategies are appropriate. Develop strategic goals for investment products within the traditional assets (bonds, equity, currencies, commodities, mutual funds) as well as alternatives (derivatives, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and capital markets). Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly activities to maximize revenue growth and client satisfaction. Prepare meetings that will be revenue generators involving the most suitable specialist team to be successful. Close financial deals, making concessions that are appropriate and in line with the fundamental interests. Ensure clients are presented with seamless execution of internal processes and Citigroup services. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a High School diploma (or foreign equivalent) and 8 years of experience as a Senior Relationship Manager, or related position involving wealth management and asset management for a global financial services institution. 8 years of experience must include: International investment banking and international markets, with a particular focus on LATAM high net worth individuals; Conducting financial modeling and market analysis; Executing mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets and finance projects; Leveraging financial instruments including derivatives, options, and structured notes; Developing and implementing strategic investment plans for high-net-worth individuals and LATAM clients; Creating and maintaining an active client list and client relationships within target markets; Approving and disbursing credit lines; and Knowledge of local market dynamics and business practices across the LATAM region, including Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
