Job Summary and Qualifications

The Consulting Product Analyst acts as product manager and subject matter expert to define, implement and support internally built Clinical Development & Innovation applications. Supports business owners and peers related to application enhancements or system issues. Provides business knowledge and subject matter expertise on applications to product stakeholders and team members. Works with other key product team members to determine product roadmap, execution of the roadmap, and defining implementation and support processes as needed. Assigned complex projects and tasks to define best practices for product management across the team. Acts as a mentor and provides coaching to fellow analyst peers.

  • Lead Clinical Development & Innovation product development activities associated with Clinical Development & Innovation products, including the creation of deliverables for product development lifecycle, implementation, and support for the product.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute product roadmap including making strategic decisions and prioritizing product features.

  • Provides coaching and mentorship to fellow product analysts; instils product management best practices to colleagues.

  • Ability to multi-task, given various assignments, assisting management in prioritization of tasks. This includes working on multiple, complex projects at a time with different specialties and business owners.

  • Creates deliverables independently and in conjunction with the business area.

  • Ability to communicate effectively to Executive audiences.

  • Take ownership of responsibilities working individually or with teams to accomplish goals.

  • Works with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Collaboratively work with other Clinical Development & Innovation analysts on product management to maintain and enhance documentation for implementation, support, and toolkits.

  • Lead demos and presentations—both internal and external—to increase awareness of Clinical Development & Innovation products and features.

  • Provide continual operational support to field operations by troubleshooting issues and support tickets in a timely manner.

  • Assist with change requests and maintain backlog for development activities.

  • Ensure that open support tickets are closed in a timely manner that meets or exceeds product SLAs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and skills working with diverse and complex projects.

  • Strong desire to learn new things and regularly seek opportunities for professional growth.

  • Prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong problem and issue resolution experience and the ability to create quality deliverables.

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.

  • Partner with our Clinical Operations Group or other business stakeholders.

  • Represent Clinical Informatics within corporate ITG and with other HCA Healthcare groups

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Five or more years of relevant work experience

Other/Special Qualifications

  • Nursing background preferred but NOT required.

  • Self-Starter who is willing to learn and lead. Documented examples appreciated.

  • Experience with Clinical Applications that facilitate patient care with the latest technology.

  • HL7 and FHIR understanding is preferred.

  • Clinical application support may be required

  • High-level understanding of application development is preferred

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
