Location/Division Specific Information

The EMEA Market Intelligence Analyst provides market analytics and intelligence to the EMEA organization to understand regional and country market dynamics, as well as to provide strategic market and competitive insights, leading funding support initiatives and looking for cross-divisional market development opportunities.

The position is home office based, and he / she collaborates with the Sr. Director Strategy & Marketing EMEA. The candidate will partner closely with the divisional Market Intelligence colleagues, the EMEA Business Development team as well as regional & Country Leaders.

A day in the Life:

Market Intelligence Reporting

  • Summarizes data, prepares presentations and makes recommendations for actions relative to the ancillary supply chain and packaging plans

  • Deliver regular updates on market conditions, opportunities, and threats, highlighting potential implications for the organization's business strategies.

  • Must possess an exceptional attention to detail and be able to identify gaps in procedures. Collaborate with the management team effectively to improve existing processes.

Funding & Research Grant tracking

  • Optimize EU funding streams in meaningful contacts to be investigated by different countries

Strategic Planning

  • Set the development and strategic new initiative direction based upon the latest market trends.

Data Management and Tool Utilization

  • Manage and maintain market intelligence databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest market research tools and technologies, including generative AI, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them for enhanced analysis and insights.

  • Experience with detailed data analysis and practical application to business processes.

EMEA Market Intelligence Community

  • Lead the EMEA Market Intelligence Council - drive knowledge exchange across divisions, leverage best practices in business & market intelligence

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or equivalent area.

Experience

  • Technical expertise in market research & competitive intelligence (3-5 years)

  • Strategic and conceptual thinking

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative market research and financial understanding

  • Focus on business and market insights and ability to provide advice in a concise way

  • Proficiency in English, other languages like German and/or French is a plus

  • Showed strength with MSOffice, mainly Powerpoint, Excel, Power BI (or similar tools)

  • Ability to prompt generative AI solutions

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Results- and performance driven

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven track record of building, maturing, and implementing business processes within a global/matrixed organization.

  • Ability to accurately follow complex procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to empower global constituents to meet business objectives, and possess strong presentation skills at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to adapt and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail

  • Familiarity with the EMEA market landscape and understanding of cultural and economic factors within the region.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.

  • Can work independently, within a team, or collaboratively across teams

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Remote position, with a preference of location in Central Eastern Europe or Spain
