Job Description Summary

The application specialist for IT systems in anesthesia and intensive care units is an important part of the GE HealthCare PCS Digital team. The application specialist has a direct impact on smooth clinical workflows for care providers who do their best every day for patients.

The role covers solution configuration and deployment (with a project team), customer consultancy, functional support (with a supporting team).

Most of the activities for our customers can be carried out remotely with up to 30% on site visits.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Presales context:

  • Sales support and consultancy to respond tenders.

  • Demonstration of the application and its usage to highlight the advantages of the solution.

Delivering context:

  • Meet projects deadlines and budgets.

  • Site analysis and restitution.

  • Presentation of change management.

  • Lead the functional aspect of the deployment.

  • Customer workflows design.

  • Execute application settings.

  • Carry out and/or coordinate training for referents and end-users.

  • Lead change management with users.

  • Acceptance tests support.

  • Go live support.

After-sales customer support:

  • Solution startup support.

  • Adjustment and corrections to the settings.

  • Handling of incidents related to configuration.

Installed base animation:

  • Hold meetings with our customers to share best practices.

  • Present the benefits that can be gained from using our software.

  • Supporting our clients in optimizing their practices.

  • Propose support for certain institutional or regulatory requests.

Internal contribution:

  • An expert in the application and close to user needs, the application specialist will have the opportunity to formalize product development requests with the global product teams and ensure the feedback and prioritization of requests on the product to guide the R&D roadmaps.

  • You pass on valuable feedback from the market to our R&D and product management departments.

  • Provide business and product expertise to lead discussions on clinical, organizational, and business aspects around software functionalities. Manage responses to specifications on product and functional aspects.

Required Qualifications

  • You have professional degree and a significant clinical experience as a nurse in intensive care and anesthesia.

  • You have a significant knowledge of ICU workflows.

  • You have a significant knowledge of anesthesia and OR workflows.

  • You have a significant knowledge of hospital workflows (Patient pathway, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Billing dept, IT and Biomedical dept).

  • Your native language is Swedish, your English is fluent.

  • You have a valid driving license.

  • You enjoy interacting directly with customers and have strong customer management skills.

  • You have the ability and passion to share expertise and knowledge with others.

  • You have the relational and communication skills to convince and lead change management.

  • You are competent and confident in giving presentations to small and large groups and respond quickly and flexibly to their needs, reactions, and feedback.

Desired Characteristics

  • Finnish would be appreciated.

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can work to define goals and deadlines.
