Parsons Corporation Urban Planner (Saudi National) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons in now seeking an Urban Planner to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage complex and sensitive professional planning projects, research, and analysis.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international standards.

  • Advise the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.

  • Gather, compile, and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting the developments.

  • Develop technical inputs to support the delivery of high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.

  • Confer with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community uses.

  • Develop recommendations based on governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in urban planning or a related degree

  • Have a minimum of 3-7 years of working experience in the related field.

  • Have a working knowledge of land development process and municipal planning in KSA

  • Have an interest in urban mobility, urban design, and place-making

  • Have excellent computer skills including experience is such programs as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative suite of applications, and visual design software programs.

  • Ability to operate in GIS programs is considered an asset

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to communicate (oral and written) in English and Arabic.

  • Saudi Nationals only.
