Position Title: Procurement Specialist II

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Position Responsibilities:

  1. As part of the Amazon Fulfillment Center team, own the site's procurement operation responsibilities, including forecasting, inventory management, non-inventory flow and space models, purchase order management, and vendor management of 3rd party service providers. 2. Lead team of non-inventory receivers to ensure building has adequate resources and is set up for success. 3. Manage KPI to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes, including creation of recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for the Operations network. 4. Develop relationship across the building and network to ensure best practices are being shared and implemented. 5. Align with internal customers, and Finance and Procurement Operations teams, to understand budgetary targets by building and developing methods of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metrics. 6. Support Procurement Operations and Category Management teams and develop relationships across the building and network in order to effectively implement technology solutions that meet the business goals of multiple stakeholders. 7. In collaboration with internal customers and stakeholders, develop and execute business strategies and decisions based on detailed data cost/benefit analysis of related financial and business data and ensure a robust supply base that exceeds expectations for delivery, quality, and cost. 8. Develop mechanisms to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. 9. Lead business reviews to drive best practices and resolve issues to improve supplier performance and strengthen the business partnership. Develop and implement ways to measure suppliers to drive continuous performance improvement on behalf of Amazon. 10. Develop procurement processes and tools to drive innovation across teams. Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the procurement lifecycle. 11. Lead supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for management. 12. Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations. 13. Lead contracts negotiation with vendors, provide support throughout the contracting process and management of contracts post-execution. 14. 40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $99,494/year to $108,200/year.

Basic Qualifications

Position Requirements:

A Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, and 2 years of experience in supply chain operations or procurement operations. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, followed by 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain operations or procurement operations. Must have experience in the following:

  1. 2 years with developing category strategies by analyzing data and market trends, leading to long term business vision/strategy.

  2. 2 years of experience driving supply chain improvements through scorecards and business reviews.

  3. 2 years of experience with using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvements and cost reduction.

  4. 2 years of project management experience working with customers and cross-functional teams towards launching new programs/products in global regions.

  5. 2 years of experience with competitive bidding, developing pricing models, and contract and cost negotiations.

  6. 2 years of experience with MS Office, Visio, and Tableau.

  7. 2 years of experience analyzing data using pivots and V-Lookups. #0000
