Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Clinical Lab Scientist performs, as assigned, all technical, analytical, clerical, and quality assurance tasks and duties associated with laboratory testing. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

• Acts as a resource and educator for other CLSs, other laboratory staff, and hospital personnel. Represents department to accreditation and governmental surveyors

• Accepts in-charge duties as assigned

• Responsible for coordinating the work of other staff as assigned

• Reports to Laboratory Administrative Director, Laboratory Medical Director, Laboratory Microbiology Director, Laboratory Managers

Qualifications:

• Current State of California Department of Health Services Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License

• College degree in Biological Sciences (BA or BS)

• Three (3) years or more experience as a CLS II at Regional Hospital preferred

• Five (5) years’ experience in clinical laboratory required
