Description

Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Assistant Bookkeeper for our clients' team based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. This role focuses on maintaining and reconciling financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and conducting bank reconciliations, among other duties.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records

• Conducting account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations and record keeping

• Utilizing QuickBooks for data entry and financial tracking

• Assisting in the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting

• Handling payroll activities for the organization

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data organization and financial tracking

• Assisting in maintaining an accurate record of company financial transactions

• Ensuring all bookkeeping activities comply with federal and state laws.

Requirements

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with accounts payable (AP)

• Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with payroll processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Previous experience in the insurance industry is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
