Insight Global Right of Way Coordinator in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Description

A client of Insight Globals is looking to bring on a Right of Way Coordinator to join their team. They will be supporting a large AEC/EPC client that specializes in construction oversight for Transportation, Water, Utilities, and more. They will be responsible for providing pre-negotiation project, parcel and property owner due diligence and non-complex negotiations for acquisition of rights relative to public or private projects as assigned. They will review appraisals and just compensation; verify parcel on right-of-way plans or plats; verify property owners and the extent of interests; prepare offer packages; and maintain complete and detailed records/files with owner contacts, maps, drawings, exhibits and detailed progress reports. They are expected to Communicate effectively with internal staff and external clients.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience with federal, state, and local agencies, private industry and landowners to facilitate the acquisition of necessary right of way for public projects

  • Be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Draft the following types of real estate documents: deeds, easements, leases, and purchase agreements

  • Experience Reading, reviewing, and understanding right of way plans and legal descriptions

  • Ability to understand and work in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry, such as the Uniform Act, FERC and NEPA * Real estate license in good standing, or equivalent, as required by law

* Broker Associate, Managing Broker, or Land Agent null
