Citigroup Business Unit Manager - C14 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida

The Business Unit Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results by driving various business execution activities in support of the Business Architecture organization. This role will drive initiatives aimed to develop a consistent and standard way of operating, monitoring, and running the organization. Responsibilities will include optimizing financial strategies, developing, and executing on an effective employee engagement strategy, supporting the effective communication and presentation of strategic priorities and accomplishments, supporting overall business objectives and priorities, and leading ad hoc projects, as necessary. This position will assist with development, execution and tracking of key strategic goals of the organization as well as developing processes that allow the team to operate efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of long-term plans aligned with Citi-wide strategies and priorities.

  • Establish and manage strong relationships with a diverse group of senior stakeholders across Business Architecture and various Citi businesses and functions, to ensure adequate information sharing, reporting, alignment, and communications are in place.

  • Review and monitor the key performance indicators across the organization

  • Deliver an employee engagement program by collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance the Business Architecture culture resulting in a highly motivated, engaged, integrated and diverse workforce

  • Support the organization’s financial health by optimizing expense savings opportunities, managing productivity/ cost savings initiatives, and developing insightful analysis and reporting

  • Support various ad hoc efforts across areas of real estate space planning, training, and other corporate programs

  • Prepare reports, briefings, and executive level presentations on strategic initiatives, projects, and priorities.

  • Able to develop senior level presentations with data from various areas to tell a story

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services

  • Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery, and fixed price contracts

  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures

  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills are required.

  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong team player who can work effectively in cross-organization situations.

  • Demonstrated success in managing deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressures

  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated development, planning and execution of medium range and long-term strategic plans

  • Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build presentations

  • Demonstrated project management experience and detailed knowledge of technology products

  • Working knowledge of Citi, the financial services industry, and financial products

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Able to work with large volumes of data from various sources.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to deliver insight and conclusions in a concise and logical manner to seniors.

  • Detail orientated with ability to also see larger picture.

  • Clear/logical approach to problem-solving: breaking issues down to component parts and prioritizing the approach.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Proactive and ability to work independently or as a team player, with the ability to develop strong relationships with numerous partners.

  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure in a demanding environment, be proactive and goal oriented.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and confidence to collaborate with managers at all organizational levels.

  • Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
