The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Summary

As a Data Platform Business Ownership Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting data analysis and testing to support of MUFG’s key data platforms owned by the Chief Data Office (CDO) team. You will also be involved in creating presentations in PowerPoint, preparing trainings, formal communications, and policy documents for various stakeholders, such as data owners, data consumers, and data stewards. You will work closely with the Data Platform Business Ownership Lead and other team members to ensure alignment and consistency across data initiatives and projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for mentoring and growth opportunities in the data domain. You will have the chance to learn from senior data professionals and contribute to the data platform transformation of the organization. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in data governance and data quality.

Responsibilities

  • Support the data platform vision and strategy, focused on sourcing additional superset data into the data platform

  • Support enhancing the data platforms by contributing to initiatives to bring in AWS tools/services that enable business self-service

  • Establish and maintain data platform standards, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing while looking for ways to automate activities

  • Monitor and measure the performance, availability, and usage of the data platform and provide regular reports and feedback to senior management and stakeholders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, IT, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment and collaboration on data platform initiatives

Qualifications

  • Prior data analysis experience utilizing tools such as SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, or Python

  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing

  • Experience in AWS native tools such as Glue, Athena, DMS and Lake Formation for data ingestion, processing, transformation, and analysis is preferred

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex data concepts and insights to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into data solutions

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills and ability to manage multiple data projects simultaneously

  • Experience in preparing trainings, formal communications, and policy documents for data-related topics

The typical base pay range for this role is between $89K - $98K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
