The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

RESPONSIBILITIES

High Level Responsibilities:

• Support the coding, testing, and/or implementation of client/server applications; fix any existing or new bugs.

• Track and record technology development needs; provide input or recommendations for enhancements or modifications to the organization's new technology products.

• Provide technical services on information delivery from the server to mobile clients, integrate specific mobile applications into different systems or platforms.

• Gather, develop, analyze, and/or document client requirements; translate into technical specification, such as product/sprint backlog; facilitate the functionalities of applications aligning with requirements.

• Work with users, visual designers, and product managers to develop visually appealing user dashboard for on-line data analytic products.

• Design, modify, develop, write, and/or implement software applications, web-based features, and infrastructure according to user needs and business requirements.

• Develop, test, and/or debug new or enhanced software applications to ensure that quality and functionality are in line with the requirements; document the results of unit and systems testing.

• Integrate third party services, applications and functionalities to enhance web performance and e-business success.

• Provide technical support on database development and maintenance, within the web-applications function.

• Write source codes for new applications, and/or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications

• Utilize automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.

• Create test transactions and run tests to find errors and revise application programs.

Details:

• Ensure optimum performance, high availability, scalability, and stability of solutions

• Design and develop applications, system to system interfaces, and complete software solutions

• Create documentation such as functional document design, system design document, user guides, and software development guides

• Develop advanced code and perform code review

• Leverage automation in testing efforts and the ability to identify tests that would be optimal candidates for automation

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Software development experience

• Programming experience in a modern language such as Scala, Java, Python, C#

• Experience with web technologies: Restful Services, JavaScript, Asp.Net, MVC, Angular JS, Web API

• Experience in financial services/banking preferred

• Experience developing at all levels of the application stack (front end/UI, middle/services and back end/database)

• Experience with Java and Java frameworks

• Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs

• Experience in designing data models and structures to store various kinds of data in different formats

• Experience with scripting language (Python or Perl), OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or any cloud provider

• Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix /Linux based environments

• Experience with RDBMS based databases such as Oracle and SQL Server or NoSQL DBs such as DynamoDB.

• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)

• Experience with monitoring systems

• Knowledgeable in CI/CD principles

• Knowledgeable in DevOps workflow tooling

• Knowledgeable on Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Experience creating end to end data pipelines as well as CI/CD pipelines for applications delivery

• Experience with major public cloud offerings and how to solution designs that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)

• Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, scripting, and databases

• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.

• Proficiency with in C/C++, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, XML

• Experience with IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere, Open Message Queue (IPC), Web-Technologies

• Excellent knowledge of analysis and design patterns

• Knowledgeable on SDLC/SCM

• Experience with automating test cases and building test scripts

• Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team

• Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc.)

EDUCATION

• Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, and equivalent work experience equally preferable

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
